The Key to Erebor

The Key to Erebor.

One of the most loved props of The Hobbit, the key to the hidden Dwarven door that Gandalf presents to Thorin Oakenshield. This was actually a good study as opposed to a challenge. It's taking a 3D object with lots of angles and sides, and move it onto a 2D piece of paper. If you're looking to brush up on your perspective skills, but find a cup, cube or cone to simple, but find people too hard, this is a fantastic prop! I would do this all over again if I had to, and I might one day.

Senator Padmè - The Face of Peace

It's been a year since I last did a Padmè drawing, and with an art show coming up I thought it's high time I did another.
I went and searched Padmè photos, and ran across this one. The original photo was huge. Like, 1000 by 1200 pixels. Ok, so not so big, but large for Star Wars photos.
This is Padmè's Senate outfit, the one created for a scene that was deleted in the end. However, it was one of the best promo shots. Full of detail, contrast and is a good showcase of Padmè's strength in the Senate.
