German Shepherd

I HAD to do this adorable face!

I don't know if she is exactly a German Shepherd dog, but she sure looks like it.
I think I spent 4 or 5 hours on her, just sketching, and sketching in her hair. Plus it was a nice break from doing all those horses, but in all reality she looks nothing like the original picture :}

King Caspian aka Ben Barns

I took this picture from the new Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader movie.
This is King Caspian, previously Prince Caspian.
I didn't like how Caspian looked in the last movie, but in this movie he looks way better :)
Maybe it is because he looks almost exactly like one of my favorite hockey players.....

Anyhoo, this was where Caspian notices that the skeleton of one of the Lords was behind him.

Daddyscowgirl94's Second Winning Piece

This is a guy that I drew from Daddyscowgirl94's description.
I really like how he looks different from all of my other free minded drawings.
It was a fun drawing to do, thanks DC! :)

Black Speed

An Arabian running.
I guess I have something to complain about with every drawing...:/
This time I think I made the head and neck too big for the body. I don't know, maybe it's just me.
But this has to be one of the smoothest shading jobs I have done on a horse yet (for this sketch book, that is)

More Horses

This one is a racehorse
The picture originally had the horse wearing a bridle, and was being led.
I know that Arabians have small, delicate heads but this drawing kind of flopped. I just couldn't get the head correct. And then the whole body went out of proportion.

Rearing Horse

Not one of my best pieces.
I like how the body turned out, but the head can have a make over.

Horse Eye and Head

Another Horse Eye
I did another eye but in the reflection of this one there was a person. I didn't want to put them in and got stumped on what I should fill it with. I finally just went with a shape that didn't really work out.

For this one I have been listening to Adventures in Odyssey, the radio drama. Yes, I still listen to them because I end up producing the best drawings while listening to them (plus I think that they are completely helpful and are good things to listen to)
These three drawings (actually, most of the horse drawings) I have done to AIO. This time I was listening to the Green Ring Conspiracy, a mystery collection.

Jon Foreman - Lead Singer for Switchfoot

Hi y'all
A few days ago, Eldra and I were going through old music videos that bands did and ran across Switchfoot. We went crazy and watched Stars, Dare you to Move and a few others. It gave me inspiration to draw Jon. This picture of him came from the MV Stars.
I have always been a fan of Switchfoot's music. That is, I like most of their stuff until 'Hello Hurricane' came out. That album seemed like a big 'Beautiful Letdown' after their last album *wink, wink*
A friend of mine looks quite a bit like Jon here. The funny part? He's a surfer as well :)

A Horse Eye

When I started drawing the Race Horse, it was somewhere in the 10th hour. I finished it at about 12:45 AM. I still wanted to get another drawing in so I went with some simple hooves.

Another Detailed Horse Eye
This is my third horse eye in the last 24 hours and my second favorite eye

Skittish Race

Another horse, but this time this is a race horse.
This drawing took me a LONG time to compete. Almost 3 hours (which, for a horse drawing, is an extremely long time)
All the detail was so much fun to do!!!
And originally a guy was holding the bridle just under the bit but I decided to take it out

More Horse Eyes

My less detailed eye
I have been in a horse-ish mood recently. Horses being my 'thing' to draw...
This eye is from a picture where the eye is almost completely out of focus except for the very edge of the eye and the eyelashes.

My more detailed eye

This has to be my favorite horse eye that I have ever done. I spent quite a while getting the hair to flow over the bone structure. Definitely my most detailed horse eye ever!

Sillhouette, Draft Horse, and Spring's Promise

Lame Silhouette

Draft Horse
If you would like to purchase a print of this drawing, you can do so here.

If you would like to purchase a print of this drawing, you can do so here.

The top picture is a silhouette that I sort of doodled. The background is really...sketchy.

The Draft Horse took me HOURS to fill in. I had to stretch the drawing process over two days because I didn't feel like cramming it all in in one day. It looks like a male horse even though it's a mare. I don't know, it just looks more 'manly'.

The foal is actually my favorite of the three because the head turned out exactly how I wanted it. The original picture is of the foal stepping carefully through a field full of purple flowers.

Jade Amethyst Parker - Barris's Second Winning Piece

This is Barris Offee's Second Piece

This is what I did from a description Barris sent.
Nice description Barris! :)

Rob Beckley

I did a drawing of Rob Beckley from the band Pillar
