An Arabian Head

Arabian horses have the most gorgeous and intricate halters! They are SO much fun to do!!!! Sorry but it is the most detailed drawing I have done in a long while.
I spent almost 3 hours on this drawing.

Prancing Arabian

Another Arabian drawing
The face I still have to work on but here is a prancing Arabian. The funny thing is that when I started drawing this picture, I wasn't serious about making it a complete drawing. I was just doodling as I was listening to an audio book. Suddenly I focused on the page and saw that I had gotten the body down. I then continued on filling the low-lights in.

Just put a horn on this horse and it will be a unicorn! Unfortunately the head is about an inch away from the edge of the page so that won't work

The study of the Hind Quarters

If you would like to purchase a print of this drawing, you can do so here.

Both of these pictures are of race horses. One of where the horse is slowly walking and the other of the horse in full sprint. Both of these drawings were quite easy to draw, with them giving me almost no difficulty in getting them on paper

Study of the Front Quaters
I am in a horse-drawing mood, so expect to see more horse drawings
The top picture is of how the horse shoe fits on the hoof, while the bottom picture is more on the muscle in the chest and neck. These two and the next post I did were all done within 2 hours.

A Horses HQ and Tail

A horses hindquarters
This drawing was fun to do, but complicated at the same time. The basic shape was easy, but the overall drawing of the tail was time-consuming work. But the finished product is worth it. Eldra, I think, was quite pleased.

Cat Head Sketch

A sketch that I started back in January but didn't finish until this month. Unfortunately I can't finish the background because in the original picture, the cat's head was surrounded by all black with the head coming into the light. That and I don't want to use my 9B pencil on it :/

Speed Dragon

My Speed Dragon!!
The second dragon that I have done...er...third, but the first one I did (the early work that I haven't posted) was not to be even called a dragon. The hands/feet/claws were the hardest part. I must have spent at least 1 1/2 hours on the feet alone, and I STILL haven't gotten it the way I want it. Oh well...
At first I thought I'd call it a lava dragon but the dark lines were too cliche, so it ended up being a speed dragon (the slim waist confirmed it when by brother, Goose/Honk, as you know him, said that it looked way out of proportion)

Leaping Dragon

This drawing was inspired by the dragon, Gabby, from the Door Within series. She isn't necessarily Gabby but just a dragon.
There was one problem. I had no idea how to draw a dragon's body since they don't exist, thus making it hard to draw. So I went way out and tried to find any animal picture where the back and front legs both bend backwards at the knee/elbow. My solution? CATS! Cats have the same sort of body build as dragons, minus the horse-type head. And wings.
So I took a picture of a cheetah leaping and modified the shape to be more dragon-like. Filing in the dragon was the time consuming part but it was worth it.
Thank you, Vrenith for inspiring me to do a dragon!
