This was I gave my dad for his Christmas gift. A drawing of a Cobra vehicle. I think it will look better when I have digitized it to make the body look more metallic

Padme Amidala Skywalker

I have not seen Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith, yet. But finding pictures of Padme is quite difficult so I decided to do the bottom one anyway. The top one is my favorite one :)
I think I did these drawings at the beginning of 2010

I did this drawing for my dad's brother. She is a mastiff dog and gentle as a lamb. But only when my Uncle is around, so watch out! When my Uncle isn't around, she can tear you apart! lol

Whisper's Winning Piece

DA-DA-DA-DA!!! I have completed Whisper's piece of artwork!!
Sorry it took so long Whisper
It is of a woman holding a rapier sword to a ranger girls throat.
Awesome story Whisper! :)
The idea was from a piece of a story that she wrote. My brother, Goose, posed for me to get the body shapes correct. What I didn't account for is that he is still only 5'4''. That meant that I had to make the drawing peoples' hands/feet smaller than his, and slim them way down.
The black woman is supposed to be tall, I imagined over 6 feet. But here she looks like she is 5'7''...maybe. All in all I'm glad it's done, and she's happy with it.

Jake's Winning Pieces!!!

For those of you that know about the contest that Eldra and I held, the winner would receive two pieces of artwork, and the runner up would receive one piece of artwork. What they would win depended on what they wanted me to do. In Jake's case, he wanted one thing done from a short story he wrote. The bottom picture is what I chose to do from it.
The top drawing is of a description that Jake also sent
Our runner up, Whisper, sent in a description of two women on a ship, but it is a little more challenging and taking more time to complete. But it should be done soon

Evenstar Necklace

This drawing took me 3 or 4 hours to complete, and it looks much more like the original pendent, unlike my previous attempt at it back in 2008. I can't wait to digitize it.

HA! I finally got Aragorn down on paper!!!!! Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!! (sorry Miss Pickwickian, I'm going to do Boromir very soon)
lol, this has to be the most used picture of Aragorn that has gone over the internet. And I drew it. *Huzah*
BUUUUUT, I am in a Lord of the Rings mood. And that means I will probably do lots of drawings of LOTR people in the next month. Now is the time for Lord of the Rings junkies to have their fill :)
Oh, did I mention that this is my first 'real' drawing of Aragorn. I had attempted to draw him back in 2007, but at the time I hated doing facial hair. Now I LOVE doing it :D hehehe

Sidney Crosby - Photoshoot Drawing

Ok, so the first thing I have to say is I'M SO GLAD I FOUND THIS DRAWING!!!!!!
Yes, I finally found this drawing. My family and I moved to a different province two summers ago, and during all that hustle-and-bustle I thought I lost this drawing. But, NOPE! It was tucked in a sketch book that I never used and was just waiting to be pulled out and finished. (it wasn't completed when we moved)
Yes, it was done JULY 26, 2009 by yours truly
So now I'm FINALLY able to show you the most neat and tidy drawing of Sid-the-Kid (I almost hate the photos that come out of photo shoots, 'cuz the most interesting photos are when his hair is dripping with sweat)

Ben Judah Kasica

Digital version of Ben
Original sketch
Well, well, well I FINALLY found a good, drawable picture of Ben. WOOT!

Surprisingly, this drawing was an easy one: at first it didn't look like it but when I got it drawn up I was like "oh my gosh, this will take me 'till 2 in the morning to finish!' as I had started it at 10 pm. I finished it, to my surprise, at 11 pm: only an hour to complete it from start to finish, which has to be a record drawing time for me

Frodo Baggins - Distrust in Motion

Digital Frodo
Original Drawing

My first Lord of the Rings drawing in YEARS!!!!

I was watching LOTR extended movie 'The Return of the King' when I stumbled across this picture and was immediately inspired to capture the intensity. The picture was in widescrean so that is why there is black strips across the top and bottom.
I left the skin really sketchy because his skin is dehydrated and rough with dirt

Korey Cooper

Digital Korey
Original Drawing

Korey Cooper, the wife of John Cooper and guitarist/keyboarder/back up singer for the band Skillet. This doesn't look 'like' her because I had to rush my evening/drawings and try to get 4 drawings done for a concert (we ended up not going). You also have to see the origional picture to really see Korey in the drawing

Kurt Wylde

Ditital Kurt
Original Drawing
Kurt Wylde. An animated character from the Hot Wheel movies, Acceleracers. He has unrealistically styled hair, and unrealistic eyebrows but hey, they're animated so they should right? I think so

TY Dietzler

Digital version of TY
The final picture

The third change

The second change
The origional drawing
Lolzies!!!!! I laughed so hard when I saw the difference between all 4 pictures. He looks like an insane pirate in the bottom pict :) literly, save all the pictures and then go back and forth between them and you will laugh too!
A more recent picture of Ty Dietzler (Det-sler) The pirate looking, 'on the road' guitarist for Thousand Foot Krutch.
I still need to change a few things in his smile, eyebrows and bandanna. But all in all, I think he is quite complete. Again he still doesn't have dreadlocks but it is more like the 'real' him instead of the last post I did about Ty, as he still has the shorter hair (his dreadlocks are about elbow length).

TY Dietzler "Only half the Story"

This is TY Dietzler from Thousand Foot Krutch.
OK, the first thing I want to say is, this is an older picture of TY. Probably when he was with The Letter Black. He has long dreadlocks now so he looks much different with longer hair instead of his short, soft, floaty hair
In the picture, he (apparently) swung his head around suddenly and his hair kind of spun out of control :)
This was like a 15 minute drawing btw

Ferrari 'Soaring Through a Tunnel'

Courtesy of Archer, I have named this drawing "soaring through a tunnel'.

I have no idea why this picture is on an angle....I really don't know. Things still have to be touched up with the background (I tend to leave those thing undone or at least done in a rough draft)
Done February 9/2010

William Mously

Probably the most popular picture of William out there and it happens to be complete drawable. The funny thing is that a friend of mine will probably look something like this when he gets older! lol
Done January 19/2010

Marc-Andre Fleury

Just a photo I took from and interview that Marc-Andre was doing. Who knew that it would turn out to be such a great drawing! At least in my opinion.
Done August 23/2009

Jen Ledger

Digital Version
Orginal Drawing
I actually did this drawing May 29 after we got back from the second day of YC. I contrasted the picture because she didn't have dark spots in her hair or have darker makeup around her eyes, like she has in the photo. Excuse the white line down at the bottom. When I was scanning it in, the scanner sometimes gives the picture a white edge that I can't erase.

Chris Greenwood aka Manafest

The first thing I want to say is that I am going to touch up his face and the background but for now I am leaving it. Getting that done, some of you may recognize this picture from Manafest's music video "Impossible'.
I really wanted to focus on his hands and especially on his wedding ring & mic. It took me about the usual 2 hours to get it done.

Digital Version
  Original Version

Just an eyeball picture that my sister, Eldra, found somewhere that inspired me to get out of my artist block, and complete a highly detailed picture. I may also do a color picture of this eye... I don't know though....
About 2 hours from start to finish.

Trevor McNevan Signed Drawing

OK, getting that over let me say that MY DREAM CAME TRUE THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Courtesy of Trevor McNeven and the guys from TFK for coming out after playing 2 shows in 2 days and signing stuff for us. I don't know what else to say so if you want to know more about it comment below :) Thanks

Also here is the link to my TFK (Thousand Foot Krutch) painting

God Bless & THANK YOU TREVOR!!! :)

Skillet 'Awake' cover drawing

Digital Version
Original Drawing
The CD cover for Skillet's 'Awake' album is a different picture to say the least, but very eye catching. That is why I did it.
If you look at the original picture compared to this you will notice that I changed some things about how the wraps are placed (not to mention how they look), but that is because I did it at YC Alberta while I was waiting for my Mom and Dad to get out of this book store thingy. I completely made up the dots in the wraps to make it a little more 3D instead of just making it slightly grey, for the wraps are white with barely any dimension. It looks great in the picture but when converted to a drawing it looks undone and pale with no dimension :)

Chris Greenwood (Manafest) Drawing

Chris Greenwood is the music artist called Manafest. He may look different to you if you know Manafest but because he dyes his hair black for summer, (he is naturally a light blond) it gives him a totally different look. He too is going to be at YC Alberta.
Chris ended up wanting the drawing so he now has the oritional drawing. WOOT!!!!!

John Cooper Drawing

Corel Digital Version
"WA-HOOOOOOO!!!!! Doggy likie" *quote John Cooper*
Yes I drew John Cooper (or Doggy as some people call him) from the band Skillet. I drew him for YC Alberta 2010. He was surprisingly easy to draw, and only took 2 hours to do. I still need to edit some things on his face where it should be light but it isn't.
And as it ended up, Skillet wasn't signing anything because there were 15000 + people at the concert and Rexall arena had to close right after the concert was done. The signings would have taken about 3 hours to get it all done :(
Anyhoo "I AM A PEANUT!" *J.C*

Concept snowboard design

Well this is a concept drawing for a snowboard design that I am currently working on. A friend of mine will literally hold a ball of fire for me to get pictures of it so I can do a painting and get some color in to this drawing. He will be doing this on Sunday so I will be able to get the painting done soon after that, probably within next week. So I will get that done and let you guys know when I post it on my paintings blog.

Well my friend forgot the lighter so I don't have pictures or anything. I now have to wait for next Sunday to roll around to get it. >:P

This drawing is done in complete pencil. The dark parts of the drawing are one hundred percent 8B-9B graphite pencil.

If you would like to purchase a print of this drawing, you can do so here.

Please contact me about using this drawing, as I have had problems with people using this picture without asking for my permission first. To contact me, just comment on the post. For further information, go to the top of this blog.

Completely made up creature

I have no idea what this creature is or what it will be doing in my sisters story. Just a doodle I guess.....

Hooded Person

Digital Version
Orignal Graphite Drawing
I wanted to work on fabric textures so I looked for a person in a hood so i didn't have to work on a face and features but to work on the cloth. And I must say that I really like how it turned out. Though I seem to say it for every new drawing.

Thursday, March 4, 2010

I enjoy looking at this drawing because it is my dads birthday card for 2010. But if you put it next to the original picture, the cars textures look like carpet compared to the shininess of the original paint on the car.
